Terms & Conditions
NX Interiors
These Terms & Conditions apply when you visit our website, make an enquiry, or place an order with NX Interiors. Please read them carefully before confirming your purchase.
Last updated: 25 May 20261. Definitions
We, us and our means NX Interiors.
You and customer means the person purchasing goods from us or using our website.
Goods means the furniture, homeware, materials, finishes, samples, or other products supplied by us.
Order means a confirmed purchase placed through our website, by invoice, or by another method agreed with us.
2. Made-to-order products
NX Interiors primarily supplies made-to-order furniture. This means production, sourcing, preparation, or supplier coordination may begin after your order is confirmed and payment has been received.
Made-to-order and handcrafted pieces may include natural variation in colour, grain, texture, firmness, dimensions, finish, veining, tone, or appearance. These characteristics are part of the nature of made-to-order furniture and natural materials, and are not considered defects unless required by law.
Measurements may vary by approximately 2 to 3 centimetres due to handmade construction, upholstery, material behaviour, finishing, and production method.
Where a product, material, colour, size, or finish is specially requested, final details will be confirmed before production where practical.
3. Order confirmation and changes
Please check your order details carefully before payment, including product, material, size, colour, finish, delivery address, contact details, and any custom requests.
If you need to change an order detail, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@nx-interiors.com. Changes can only be reviewed before production, sourcing, or preparation has started and may involve additional cost.
Once production, sourcing, or preparation has begun, cancellations and changes may not be possible.
4. Pricing, payment and currency
All prices are shown in New Zealand Dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise.
For international cards or payments, your bank's exchange rates and any associated fees may apply.
Accepted payment methods
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, which may include Visa, Mastercard, Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Direct bank transfer may be offered for selected orders by arrangement.
Payment confirmation
Payment is considered received once it has been successfully authorised and cleared by our payment processor. For bank transfers, payment is considered received once funds have fully cleared into our account.
Secure processing
Online payments are securely processed through Shopify's hosted payment platform or integrated payment partners. We do not receive or store your full credit card details.
5. Payment issues, fraud and chargebacks
If a payment is declined, reversed, disputed, or subject to a chargeback, we may pause production, sourcing, preparation, or delivery until the issue is resolved.
If a completed payment is later reversed or disputed, ownership of the goods remains with us until the matter is settled and all outstanding amounts are paid.
We may request additional information if required by our payment partners to verify an order, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.
6. Lead times and delays
Production and delivery timeframes are estimates only. They may vary depending on product, material availability, customisation, factory schedule, international freight, customs processing, port conditions, carrier availability, and circumstances outside our control.
Estimated timeframes are provided in good faith, but they are not guaranteed delivery dates.
Delays do not automatically entitle you to cancel an order or receive compensation unless required under New Zealand consumer law.
7. Delivery and access
Delivery is arranged to the address supplied with your order. Please make sure the address, contact details, and access information are accurate.
You are responsible for checking that the item can safely fit through doorways, lifts, stairways, hallways, and access points. Extra delivery costs may apply where access is difficult, incorrect, restricted, or not disclosed before dispatch.
Unless otherwise arranged, delivery is to the supplied address and does not automatically include room placement, assembly, rubbish removal, or specialist access services.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address supplied, except where the law provides otherwise.
8. Inspecting goods on arrival
Please inspect your item and its packaging when it arrives.
Any damage, fault, missing part, or incorrect item should be reported to us within 48 hours with photographs of the item, packaging, labels, and delivery condition.
Prompt reporting helps us assess the issue and, where relevant, raise a freight or supplier claim. Failure to notify us quickly may limit our ability to assess the issue, unless required under New Zealand consumer law.
9. Returns, exchanges and refunds
Because NX Interiors primarily supplies made-to-order furniture, we do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges for change of mind on made-to-order, custom, specially sourced, or specially requested items, unless required under New Zealand consumer law.
If an item arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, approved claims are handled appropriately under New Zealand consumer law. This may include repair, replacement, exchange, refund, or another remedy depending on the circumstances.
If a return is approved, the item must be unused, unassembled where applicable, and returned with all original packaging, protection, labels, and included parts, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Return shipping and any related freight costs are the customer's responsibility unless NX Interiors agrees otherwise in writing or the cost is required to be covered under New Zealand consumer law.
Please contact us before returning anything. We reserve the right to accept or decline a return, exchange, or damage claim after reviewing the item condition, delivery evidence, photographs, and order details.
10. Consumer law
Where you purchase goods for personal, domestic, or household use, the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986 may apply.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits, excludes, or restricts your rights under applicable consumer law.
Where goods are purchased for business purposes, the parties agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply to the maximum extent permitted under that Act.
11. Warranty and exclusions
We warrant that goods supplied will meet the standards required under applicable New Zealand consumer law.
This warranty does not cover:
- normal wear and tear;
- misuse, neglect, improper assembly, or failure to follow care instructions;
- damage caused by incorrect placement, storage, cleaning, treatment, or use;
- damage caused by heat, moisture, sunlight, sharp objects, pets, staining, spills, or unsuitable cleaning products;
- variations inherent in handmade products, upholstery, timber, leather, stone, marble, metal, fabric, or other natural materials;
- minor measurement differences within normal production tolerance;
- damage occurring after delivery.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, delays outside our control, or natural variations in materials and handmade construction.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the remedies required by law or the amount paid for the goods in question, whichever applies.
13. Ownership of goods
Ownership remains with us until all amounts owing have been paid in full.
If payment is reversed, dishonoured, disputed, or rescinded, we may take reasonable steps to recover the goods or the outstanding amount.
14. Accuracy, errors and availability
We aim to keep website information accurate and up to date, but occasional errors may occur.
We may correct pricing, product, material, image, description, availability, or information errors at any time. If an error affects your order materially, we will contact you to discuss next steps.
Product availability, materials, finishes, colours, pricing, and lead times are not guaranteed until your order is confirmed and payment has been received.
Images, swatches, renders, and samples are provided as guides only. Actual colour, texture, grain, veining, tone, scale, and finish may vary depending on screen settings, lighting, material batch, and production conditions.
15. Promotions
We may exclude certain products, materials, shipping zones, order types, custom requests, or time periods from promotions at our discretion.
Promotional offers cannot be applied retrospectively unless we agree in writing.
Promotions may be changed, paused, or withdrawn at any time, provided this does not affect rights already required under applicable law.
16. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
